EV/PHEV deployment in Ontario, Canada

The cost of battery for Volt to manufacturer was $ 145 per KW , so if we use same rate for 17KW battery , cost will be around $ 145 x 17=$ 2465/-
Note that this is manufacturing cost , so when we all need replacement 8 to 10 years down the road , it will not be a lot to pay at that time.
