So I have a lease reservation with a new start up located in California called Zevvy. I reserved a 2023 Bolt EV it comes with 1,000 miles per month for free then .10¢ per mile after that. Yes they track miles on a monthly basis by using on-star. It’s a little big brotherish but it’s only $399 per month before any additional miles and the term is 30 months. They only have enough weed money for 1,000 lease deals and they do have a few other EV’s to choose from. It’s an interesting concept so I’m curious how this will go. I had a 2019 Bolt EV and was happy with it until the floods here in California chased some rats into the car and they chewed up some wires. The high voltage system was compromised. The dealership quoted $13,500 to fix so my insurance totaled out the vehicle. With interest rates soo high I thought what the heck, I will give this a try.
