hi,
i got 2018 Touring with 88K on it. just got there 2 code on my ODBii reader after the engine light came on. its my 1st real issue with car.
The Honda P1DC7 code is a trouble code related to high voltage battery deterioration. It is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) stored in the battery condition monitor module (BCM) of Honda hybrid vehicles. is the BCM under 100K mi warranty?
A stored a code P0A7F in your hybrid vehicle (HV), means that the powertrain control module (PCM) has detected an excessive degree of resistance or an insufficient state of charge from the vehicles high-voltage battery pack. This code should be stored only in hybrid vehicles. The HV (nickel metal-hydride) battery is generally composed of eight (1.2-volt) cells which are arranged in series. Twenty-eight of these cells make up the HV battery pack.
Battery pack deterioration and a stored code P0A7F could result in deactivation of the electric propulsion system. The P0A7F should be classified as severe and the conditions which contributed to its storage should be addressed with urgency.

Has anybody had this issue before? going to call the Honda dealership in morning. is any of this might be under 100K warranty?

This is totally wrong for the Clarity... The Clarity has MANY more cells and they are Lithium Ion. They must have re-used the code, but it has a different meaning for the Clarity's hybrid system.

Nonetheless, it seems clear that there is something wrong with your BCM, your battery, or both.

The BCM and the battery should both be covered under the warranty (8 years / 100K) unless you live in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington (in which case it is 10 years / 150K).

I have attached the warranty document for your convenience...

This is a situation where one needs to read the battery capacity. One of the codes may represent that the battery has a de[pleted capacity below the replacement level.

According to the manual the P0A7F is set because of the P1DC7 code. There is some diagnostics, like clearing the code and going from 0-30-0mph in EV mode several times. If the code re-sets then it calls for replacing the battery pack.

Out of curiosity, do you charge with a level 1 or level 2 charger? BTW hondapartsnow has the battery pack listed at $4937… still a large purchase.
