I started watching, mildly curious:

  • eGolf of limited range climbing a hill - drama
  • 8:51 - 15:25 :: Incident at Electrify America
Unexpected, there was a typical Electrify America episode with: (1) first charger does not work; (2) service support is unable to get it to work; (3) move to another charger that eventually works, and; (4) interrupted charging has to be restarted.

They correctly call the eGolf a 'compliance' vehicle. Their scoring at the end matches mine.

I remember the video with "World's Toughest EV Test." They were driving the e-Golf and the Tesla Model S? Anyway the Tesla charger had no problems. And just like you said the problems with the chargers....and I remembered that episode well when I had the same problems with EA chargers.
