E-STEP LESS-THAN-ONE FOOT DRIVING

We bought a 2026 Leaf Premium about a month ago. Generally we like the car very much but the e-step driving drives us nuts. Our last car was a Chevy Bolt with true one-pedal driving and it was much better than the Leaf. The braking was consistent right to a full stop without having to move your foot. With the Leaf, the e-step is consistent until about 10 mph when the car just rolls away unless you press the brake pedal. This changes the whole dynamic of the braking and can feel like the car is getting away from you toward something right in front of you, especially going downhill. I'm told that the previous Leafs had true one-pedal driving and Nissan changed it to make an easier transition for new electric vehicle drivers. Guess what, it doesn't!! We got used to the Bolt during one drive. Nissan here has put their oar in on a problem that didn't exist, and it sucks. The other point about the Leaf is you have to re-engage the e-step every time the car is turned off. With the Bolt if you turned it on it stayed on and if you turned it off it stayed off ... simple. I'm wondering if this all is a software issue that could be resolved back to true one-pedal driving. Does anyone know anything about it?
