Driving Review of SE Says More EVs Like It Needed

Will Porsche beat MINI to offer the 1st drop-top EV since the original Tesla Roadster? MINI understands the market for convertibles so I assume they just couldn't find a way to make an EV version of the current generation that was safe.

would be nice to have another convertible. driving the S2000 below zero on the highway is exhilarating.

I fully expect MINI to release a convertible variant of the next-gen SE; seems like it just wasn’t in the cards for the relatively short-lived first gen.

And I just wanted to add, returning to the original theme of this thread, that I also absolutely loved this review when I came across it on Jalopnik last week! The reviewer was Adam Ismail, my favorite writer on their site, and he typically offers up smart, well-written, on-target takes that line right up with my own views. So I was very happy to see him weigh in on our favorite EV!
