I've seen figures for total EV sales by state, but never a breakdown of which EVs are selling best where. I'm curious because, here in Hilo, Hawaii, what I see on the streets doesn't really track with the national sales stats. For example, a few of the GM Ultium EVs outsell the Toyota BZ4X and Subaru Solterra by a substantial margin, yet I have seen almost none of them here, while the Toyobaru twins are a regular sight.

I know there is at least one company that scrubs the state vehicle registrations. However, their data has a significant fee.

Yeah, a year or two ago I saw EV sales by brand here as well, published by ICBC (our mandatory public insurance company), I think. I see a lot of F150 Lightnings and think they are now the #2 most popular EV on the road here next to Tesla. It may be that I notice them a lot more, because my son just bought one a month ago. But I would like to see some stats, too. As for the Toyobaru twins, yes, I see more and more of them on the road, too. I have the Solterra, and love it. Great car, unlike what you might see in the many of the reviews. Only knock on it is slow fast charging, but doesn't matter to us, since we also have the Ioniq 6 for trips.

Yeah, I think these local/regional variations are fascinating. Another example: Cadillac appears to have a respectable share of the luxury market here, but I have yet to see a single Lyriq. I do see the occasional electric BMW, even though ICE BMWs are less plentiful than Cadillacs.

In my area Tesla far outstrips anyone else, but beyond Tesla I seem to see primarily (in order of frequency): Rivian, Hyundai Ioniq, Polestar.

At this point its data that you have to pay for. There are places who offer this, but its like hundreds of dollars. not really worth it to track whats happening.
