Discontinuation of MINI Concierge Services

How many Iconic MINI Cooper SE owners have paid to maintain their connection to the MINI Concierge after the complimentary subscription expired? If you have ever used the Concierge, what was the reason and how well did the Concerge perform?

I never pushed the Concierge button until after my first checkup a year after delivery. The wonderful analog clock (banished in 2022 MINIs) had disappeared from the center display and I wanted it back.

The drive from Motor City MINI to my home takes about 45 minutes. The MINI Concierge tried for 30 minutes, but could not tell me how to get my clock back. She then gave up and connected me to the BMW Concierge. A block from home, the BMW Concierge figured out that the analog clock is classified as a screen-saver, which I was then able to find in the menu and restore.

I've maintained my MINI Connected subscription, but have never pressed the Concierge button again. Perhaps I'll use it to find out if the Concierge staff is being fired.

This is the email MINI sent to tell me the internet has made the Concierge irrelevant. It's not just MINI; Acura is also leaving their customers conciergeless.

Is the woman in the email photo below looking up and cursing the loss of her MINI Concierge?

This is to notify you that starting June 30, 2025, MINI Concierge Services will be discontinued and no longer available. MINI Concierge Services is a 24/7 personal assistant in your vehicle that enables connection to a Response Specialist, who can provide information about Points of Interest (POI) and send destinations to the navigation system.

You can use the service without restriction until June 30, 2025.

2) WHY IS IT DISCONTINUING?
The service is being discontinued as there are more popular ways to search for POI information. This includes the MINI App, in-vehicle voice search, and enhanced POI search within our navigation maps.

3) WHEN WILL MY SERVICES STOP WORKING?
MINI Concierge Services will be discontinued as of June 30, 2025.

It's so easy to call 866-ASK-MINI (in the US) from your cellphone if you don't want to do an internet search, so this service really has become unnecessary. The only time I used it was by accident once.
 
It appears that I received a text today stating that "Your MINI's coverage needs a review." A number was provided. I called BMW to inquire and state that I am aware of the end date for Concierge Services. The customer service representative could not confirm that is why I received the text. No other services are up for renewal on my 2022 SE or 2025 Countryman SE. I left a message indicating that the apparent error needs to be corrected. Anyone else?
 
I recently received a (brief) text indicating that my warranty coverage was about to expire. I'm debating the pro's and con's of renewing or looking for another warranty source.

I already extended the warranty on my Cooper SE from my dealer. (I did it right after Trump was elected, because I figured that warranty costs would go up.)

I am considering this option for my 2022 (purchased December 2021). Is the dealer the point of contact regarding plan details and pricing? It may be tough to commit to such an expense considering the SE’s market value - but its value to me as a fun, efficient car is significant.
