I may not have time to solve my issue but good to get feedback for future trips. I will be staying at a hotel with 3 charging stations, two are Tesla destination and the other is a universal level 2.

I will be driving my Kona and was curious if I can get an adapter to use the Tesla destination charger in case the universal level is being used?

The Tesla Tap gets good reviews but I think it is pricier than some of the others. Amazon, eBay, etc. guy on eBay will take offers on NEW Tesla Taps. When I bought mine it was $160 delivered.

I bought one off of Amazon for $160 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HGC4618/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used it twice on a road trip a couple of weeks ago and it worked fine. The only thing I noticed was that I could not lower the amps from the car. Regardless of the setting it still put out ~7 Kw. I bought the 40 amp version as that is all the Kona will take, but if I did it over I would probably go for the 80 amp version as a future proof if I change to a higher rated car.

That one is the wrong direction. It allows a Tesla to charge from a J-1772 plug. You need one from a J-1772 to a Tesla plug.

While you can probably find cheap stuff on Amazon, the fact that you could be moving 240 volts at 30+ amps should drive you toward a bit of caution over economy since you probably don't want your car to catch fire and, if it isn't UL listed (none of these are AFAIK), insurance might balk.
