New to this forum...as a new future MINI SE owner I'm so grateful for all the fantastic info here!! It definitely helps temper (while building) the excitement for getting my new little buddy! I'm coming from BMW models (335i, then currently with 2017 m240i vert), and realizing that my white bald head with a history of skin cancer is not conducive to the vert that I love, while also acknowledging the plight of our planet and not wanting to further contribute to its deterioration, took a test drive of an SE at MINI Concord. LOVED that little thing, and combined with my passenger drives while at some previous CCA autocross events in a MINI was immediately convinced this would be my next DD.

So my agent shoehorned me into a cancelled build on 11/27 with build date of 12/3. That's gone along great but has been "arrived at port" for the last couple weeks, and MY MINI still doesn't have a carrier for it. I was hoping to hop on the Atlas to get to Port Hueneme, and still will fragile hopes that the Atlas will still pick it up given the delay in its itinerary. Was told to check back in once it goes to "in transit", but I still consider my timeline very blessed regardless.

Cheers, everyone! And let's hope 2022 is the year that beats the last 2 in terms of, well, everything!!

I picked up “Arlo” (tentative name) today and my dealership also got a ton of vehicles recently. Had to wait an hour to go through the finance department, they were slammed.

The car is missing the adaptive driver aid package (no front parking sensors), but the HK system was there.

Great color! not an option on the signature trim.

Arlo looks fantastic, that color not available for NA order; that's what I would've ordered if it was an option. But still excited for my MoonWalk!

One of the reasons I stayed with the signature trim. The choices in the US for the SE didn' change all that much as you go up the trim levels.
yeah, i got the signature trim as well, but i think the best part of the iconic is the power spoke wheels. After I ordered though, i learned that there is an electric collection, that is on par with iconic but with different color options, one of which is island blue. Also someone on here said that they received an options/accessories list from the dealer prior to purchase. Did you guys receive this, and what was on this list? was there options to add racing stripes and such?

Looks like the Atlas Leader will be at the UK port tomorrow morning (Jan 5th) and hopefully my car and your car will hop on board for a ride to Port Hueneme. It's scheduled to arrive in CA on January 27th. (here's a LINK to the ship tracker)

That's exactly what I got, Signature Plus with the Electric Collection. It came up when I picked Island Blue as the color that I wanted, and that wasn't available in Iconic. There was a page with the configuration options that my dealer showed me that had all the components of the Electric collection.

I did not. Just used the build tool the site. they didn't offer it. the main feature II think I will miss are the power mirrors that automatic fold on locking. had it in a vw polo I rented in Italy. I am easily pleased.

Right, I was never able to use the online configurator to build my car's exact specs. The options just weren't all there.

In addition to the ability to choose the Power Spoke rims, the Iconic trim goes beyond Signature Plus with leather seats, Head-up Display, wireless phone charger, high-power USB-C port, self-parking assistant, front parking-distance control, and the MINI Yours leather steering wheel (in 2022 it's called a Nappa Leather steering wheel--maybe the same thing). In 2020/21, only the Iconic had the 8.8" center display screen, but the Signature and Signature Plus trims were upgraded to that in 2022. The alarm system wasn't standard or optional in 2020/21. The Iconic offers body-colored roof and mirror caps, too. Finally, I believe access to the MINI Concierge, which I've never tried, comes only with Iconic trim. Oh yeah, and the ability to order Enigmatic Black paint, which is a super-dark purple.

Why MINI doesn't let people buying Iconic trim SEs buy Island Blue is a mystery to me.

You can code that to occur using Bimmercode, it appears. I used it with my previous cars, and it appears to be an option for coding with the MINI as well. I plan to make use of it as soon as my little buddy is delivered!
