That's exactly what my dealer is — Penske owned and one of the biggest MINI dealers in the country. But they still have a limited number of allocations and only put in orders every couple weeks.

I also ordered the day the SE was announced, before they were on sale. I did have a shot at a 2020, but the colors weren't right for me. There's zero difference between the 2020 and 2021, so I have no regrets. In a way I think a custom 2021 is neater than the few combinations MINI created for the 2020s.

Edit: Sorry if that sounded a little harsh. I hope all the SEs on the Asteria Leader make it to their anxious owners before the end of the year.

Yeah, we are all on tenterhooks due to the end-of-year deadline. It will be tight.
 
Does anyone else have their MINI loaded onto the Hoegh Jacksonville bound for the Port of Baltimore? She finally docked earlier this morning. I ordered my Iconic from Cincinnati MINI in early Oct. It arrived at the Port of Southampton on Dec. 2 and departed on the 13th. My MA mentioned that there were 22 MINIs all bound for Cincinnati in Southampton awaiting transport at the same time mine was waiting. I think it's a long shot to be able to take delivery this year, but I've not given up hope.

My plan is to get the dealer to sign the paperwork prior to delivery to the dealer. And I am NOT taking no for an answer. $7500 on the line here.
