For those of us waiting for Bess to come in
Bess on the way to Halifax port…
For those of us waiting for Bess to come in
Double yay!
Where did you get this info? Wonder if it applies to the astria leader? For those of us waiting for Bess to come in, I got a hopeful email from my MA this afternoon:
There is a chance that your new MINI will be here by the end of the month. Just received word that MINI is going to try and expedite the sold cars that are headed to the port. Would you be able to take delivery on either the 29th or 30th?
I will keep you posted.
Anyway, FWIW!
According to this the Asteria Leader is due into port on Christmas morning. just maybe they can get our SE to us this year.

Save me a tentOnce it is off the ship I will push them. They are not amicable to that last I spoke to them but I may camp out at the dealership and try to wear them down.
Which dealer for you? I am going through Marin Mini.Save me a tent
I am being an optimist here, but it seems certainly possible, if we are lucky, for us in the SFBay area to get our MINIs by end of the year. Looking through the spreadsheet of deliveries, cars coming out of Port Hueneme seem to spend between 1 and 7 days in port before being 'in transit.' If we are lucky enough to get our cars loaded up in less than ~ 3 days, they should be up in the SFBay area in time for us to sign the papers. Maybe not enough time for dealer prep to take delivery, but the cars could be on site and (presumably) sell-able.Once it is off the ship I will push them. Has your dealer said you can sign before they do the pre delivery inspection? Mine kind of implied that I couldn’t so worth checking. They have good reason to get it off books this year too.I am being an optimist here, but it seems certainly possible, if we are lucky, for us in the SFBay area to get our MINIs by end of the year. No, I have not verified this critical detail with the dealer. If the ship arrives at port on 12/25, I will be contacting the dealer on 12/26 to press this point! FWIW, mine was at the dealer here in TX exactly a week after arriving to the Galveston port. I don’t know how long PDI takes because I’m having them change the bonnet stripes and mirror caps so I have to wait 3 days regardless.

Mine is in downtown LA. I just hope me haggling the price down doesn't ruin my chances of expedited service from the MA. Did you guys build your cars online and pay msrp? or did they try to charge you a markup?Which dealer for you? I am going through Marin Mini.
