I'm at sea! Can any of you ship gurus guess at my boat's name? My port is Galveston.

Assuming a ~4 day reporting lag like I had, and assuming it shipped via one of "the usual suspects", I speculate it could be on one of these:
  • WW FREEDOM which departed Southampton on 20 September and is scheduled to arrive at Galveston on 12 October.
  • K-Line IGAUZU HIGHWAY, which departed Southampton on 23 September and is scheduled to arrive at Galveston on 7 October.
You may want to call your dealership and ask them for the name of the ship it's on. ;)

For me, I thought my car was on WW's Traviata. I called Ask-Mini and they told me its on a different ship HOEGH JEDDAH that first sailed to a port in Spain and then Baltimore. I then went on the hoeghautoliner website where they have the option to input the VIN and it'll tell you which ship your car is on and where its headed to and when it's estimated to arrive at the port. No realtime tracking though.
FWIW my ship sailed on Saturday and MINI updated their tracker on Monday.

"Jessie" is aboard Igauzu Highway, with a PIM at Galveston on 07 OCT. My salesman tells me cars are usually at the dealership within five days of their arrival. So much for the dealer's being only about 30 miles from the port yielding a faster transfer time...

Time is just crawling for me!

Hey, @Toi ...just got this from my mini dude (he’s been more communicative lately):
Another update for you! Looks like we are almost to the docking area where it will be dropped off at our vehicle processing center. Once it arrives there it should take about a week to be assigned to a transport vehicle and then it takes a few days to arrive here and since it is a sold vehicle it will be the first on the list

Glad to see 'sold' vehicles have priority... that at least makes sense... still a mystery on the other side of the pond however for the folks still waiting for their rides on the water.

Things just got interesting. The orange arrow is my estimate of my ship's position.
MINI v. TS Delta.webp
Will the captain race the storm to port? Will he want to quickly unload and get back out to sea (to the west)? Or, will he hang a left now to clear its path and float around while TS Delta mucks up the Gulf Coast? Inquiring potential MINI SE owners want to know...

ach, cap'n should be able to get to port before that becomes a factor... it's only moving at 6 knots while the ship is doing easily 2 - 3 times the storm in relation (depending on your accuracy in trigonometry - mine is good enough to calculate course with wind correction, but I'm no professional)

Concur. I'm sure he can beat it, but I don't know how fast they can unload (and perhaps load?) it and turn it around. My assumption is that he'd rather be out to sea than in port, if the storm veers west and hits Houston.

I added a column to the spreadsheet to calculate total weeks from 'dealer ordered' to 'at dealer' for the lucky Mini owners in the bottom section. Apologies - I am not familiar with Google docs - I tried to fill the cells with the same colors, but it won't take my selection on colors. Overall average at the moment = 16.8 weeks.

Nice!
