Finally, departed Southampton, after 4 weeks, on the Hoegh Trapper. 2-3 week ETA.
For those of us with our SEs on the Garnet Leader, it just got to San Diego. Too bad it has to go to Hueneme, unloaded, and then driven back to SD for those of us picking up in SD. Makes us wait an extra week!
I’ve heard that when it gets to the destination port it goes back to port status then in transit again when on a truck to the dealer.
That’s correct. I’m in day 6 of my second go-round in “at port” status.
I am currently at three weeks of sitting at the port in Baltimore (to Pittsburgh). It's driving me nuts and my motoring advisor said these things happen with shipping delays, but come on! He did say that once it leaves, it'll only take a few days.
Oh yikes…. We cannot afford to have it sit in the port for super long… we need to get before the end of the year so we can get the tax credit this next year…

Yeah, I'm not panicking yet, but if it's another two weeks or so delayed, I'm going to cancel the order. My purchase takes into account the tax credits. More than anything, I just don't like waiting and want to drive it!
I went through that with my SE. It was an issue of the carrier not able to get it on a truck and on its way for many weeks.I am currently at three weeks of sitting at the port in Baltimore (to Pittsburgh). Ugh all these posts about the wait makes me so anxious. I know I won't be able to claim mine in this coming year's tax credit but considering I just put in my order two weeks ago and I was told production starts first week of January makes it hard to be patient. At this point I might just have to try to forget about getting any information it till at least the end of December.

I would urge anyone considering canceling due to the tax credit issue to at least attempt to persuade the dealer to “finalize” the transaction now with delivery to “follow”. Not sure if that could work or not, but potential loss of a sale might motivate the dealer to get creative.

This is what I suggested to my MA, and they said to just hold tight and we can discuss options once the car gets stateside, if it even turns out to be an issue. Again, playing the waiting game

Make sure your federal tax bill will be over 7500. If it isnt, you dont get to carry it over to next year, and you dont get a refund.Yeah, our purchase is more or less banking on that tax credit for this year. Have a little one on the way, and we will be needing that return… a bird told me that baby bills rack up quickly.
