I always carry a 12 V tire inflator; sticky string plug kit, and; long nose vice grips. I also have AARP with towing but don’t care for the insurance junk mail.

Do you need to carry a jack, or are you able to plug a tire with it still on the vehicle?
First test if the leak is slow enough you can top off tire to drive to a shop. If not, still on vehicle.

Just roll enough to access the puncture. If front tire, turn to for easier access. For a rear tire, driving up a curb can improve access. It takes some strength to remove the object and ream the hole.
