Neuro tune chops about a second off the 0-60. Impressive. That'll still leave the eGolf about 2½ seconds slower than the SE. For the money it'll take to make the Dub even slightly more entertaining, may as well get a M3SR.

I've owned and driven plenty of VWs and I still love them. But... ♠️=♠️.

You think it would be the MINI? I mean, it could be, but the GTI beats the JCW in most reviews, so that kind of makes me think that spec for spec, the MQB Golfs would beat the MINI on most metrics.
My experience driving the e left me liking my SE even more. I hope the new electric Golf's designers make that car competitive fun-wise with the J01 MINI Electric from China.

Wait. Are you trying to compare a top-of-the-line, turbocharged petroleum golf with the Cooper SE? I thought we were talking about the eGolf, with its 134 hp and 500 pounds more heft. Stock, it does 0-60 in just under 10 seconds, while the SE is conservatively rated at 6.9 seconds – and regularly clocks at 6.1 seconds when tested by magazines and websites. The only thing the "tune" does to the eGolf is apply the available torque more quickly, but it doesn't increase the power or torque of the motor. It's still an underpowered motor trying to move more mass.

...If a "tune" were available for the Cooper SE, I have no doubt that it would hustle to 60 in under six seconds with its 199 lbf•ft and 3100 lbs curb weight (some sites list it at 2930 lbs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ).

But again, you are the one who brought in "tuning" and suspension and wheel and tire modifications to try to make the VW more competitive. Spec for spec, the Cooper SE runs circles around the eGolf.

What EV out-handles the MINI Cooper SE when you don't restrict the price?
If I was to offer another view, I'd say 99.9% of them. Most will be zipping right along to their destination while the SE is parked charging. But that's just rubbish when you know what you're getting and consider your lifestyle/requirements.

Since the title of this thread is Comedian, there are plenty of vehicles with more handles than the SE.

The MINI SE has 2 door handles and only a single passenger grab handle (second sun visor on driver side). Something like an IONIQ 5 has 4 door handles and 4 interior grab handles. However if you want to be truly out-handled without a price limitation, then might I suggest the BYD electric bus?
