I bought the cover and it worked well for a few months, until it broke my garage door opener. It was an old one from the late 90s. I replaced it and discovered a much better solution. The garage door is now set to close about an inch above the ground which leaves room for the cable to sit underneath.
Plenty of room for mice to get in and make a home in your cabin filter. When the garage door is set to close in the closed position, parts become stressed when denied that opportunity. Interestingly, when we had our garage door and vintage opener examined and serviced last year, the technician advised having the opener repaired should it ever fail. Usually a new gear. The new ones apparently don’t last 20-30 years like the old ones.
