Perhaps EA should move toward external rectification, rather than all that heat in the same box with the touch screen UI etc.

Exactly..V2 to be more accurate.
The V3 is similar inside but has a water cooling unit in the bottom left c/w reservoir at the top left

What I was trying to point out is how having the pedestal fed from a DC source rather than AC rectification in the same box, makes for a much more professional installation additionally without the heat created by that process. Tesla Superchargers are way ahead by design and will be some time before others catch up.

I would add that Tesla also co-locates battery banks at some SuperChargers and coordinates with the local utility to deal with exceptional loads and supply problems.

The EA ABBs are fed from a fairly massive remote box, where most of the work seems to get done. While
I haven't been able to do in-depth analysis, it seems that there's not a lot done in the dispenser unit.
