I've read similar SeekingAlpha articles that pour vitriol on Elon yet whose claims make no sense compared to Elon company performance. This article will fill those who want to 'hate Elon' with more noise but poor content. Still, such personality conflicts exist and it is bester to know to better ignore the noise.

BTW, Clean Technica has yet to generate a YouTube video that echos this opinion piece. Hopefully, they won't and not repeat this silliness. I subscribe to the Clean Technica YouTube channel because they post useful content. That could change if they commit to this kind of time wasting pique.

Elon is a nut job who has built a team that makes good cars. Do not confuse the leader of a company with everything a company does. Hundreds of engineers work on Tesla vehicles. They do no pop fully formed from Elon's brain.
Criticism of Elon is fair game, and, frankly, well deserved.
 
I have to agree with much of the premise of the article. He certainly shuts his mouth when it comes to China. He seems bored to me.

At least one of his children wants to sever their relationship with him. When you have seven children that may not be unusual, but that doesn't seem to be a glowing endorsement from within his own family either.

I have mixed feelings about Elon. I can appreciate that he is a risk taker, how hard he has pushed his employees and himself, and the incredible success he has had. On the other hand, I don't see him as a saint. If you are in his way, he will do what he can get away with to remove you. He's a bit of a bully.
 
Elon’s hobby is his work. So I too remember decades of +48 hour weeks and the occasional 10 days at work. I even remember dreaming about work and coming up with solutions. He lives to work and everything else is a ‘coffee break.’

If you have not been a ‘workaholic’, Elon will never make sense. If you have, Elon is an example to admire.

I have run my own business for 30+ years. I have worked 7 day weeks, 14 hour days. I have worked 40 hours for a company and come home and worked till 2 AM at my own.
I do not admire Elon Musk
Working hard and being a [jerk] software did not like my euphemism] are not inextricably linked
