Here is a silly quirk. Ever notice that if you press both defrost buttons at the same time, only 1 changes whether you are turning on or off.

Every once in a while the drivers seat heater is on the lowest setting when I start the car. It seems to be only when temps are less than 40 degrees, but every time when it is cold.
I agree about the rear of car, it gets dirtier than any other car I've had, I'd give up a mile per kwh in aerodynamics to keep it clean. :-)

Arthur in eco mode under certain conditions the car will automatically turn on the heated seats when you start.

I’ve also noticed that it will turn the heated seats down after a while too. If I start driving with it set at 2, I’ll notice a while later that it’s turned itself down to 1.

Agree. Also, is it just me or the wheels tend to have curb rash much more than other cars because the rims protrude out more than the tire ?
No, it's not just you on the curb rash. I can't remember the last time I rubbed my rims on a curb before the Clarity. One month after having the Clarity I sided up to the curb and heard the scraping sound.

I believe the seat heater comes on in cold weather only if you start the car in ECON Mode. When it's even colder, our Clarity (which is always in ECON Mode) starts up with 2 LEDs of seat heater power. The seat heater is more ECONomical than the resistance heater in the climate control system.
