I'm still using my original set of wipers (as good as new), original air filter (clean as a whistle with few ICE miles) and original cabin filter (still clean) but I'm on my 3rd air conditioning condenser and probably will need a 4th soon.

My wiper blades got deteriorated somehow after a windshield replacement. I spent $35 on a pair of Rain-X 26" wipers, but I wasn't happy with the results. They were protracting so much it affected visibility, and the function wasn't the best, still leaving tracks of water after 4 or 5 sweeps. So I decided to buy "refills" for the original wipers and got this at Amazon for 7 bucks:

They work as a charm, quiet and efficiently, and I made the exchange in less than 10 minutes...

Now here's the kicker. on my Honda Clarity I noticed the dealer's parts dept drawing has a DIFFERENT part numbers for the driver and passenger side blades. Two different parts? Both 26 inches, but why TWO part numbers? I ordered the set of two part numbers online using the HONDA OEM numbers and lo-and-behold the attachment location of the arm is slightly different on each blade! Really. Both 26 inch blades, but one arm attachment bracket (I think the passenger side) is a couple of inches off center to allow it to meet the glass better.

I took some measurements of the OEM wipers. From the mounting/pivot point on the arm to what I will describe as the inner end of the blade assembly, near the center of the windshield while in the stored position, the length is 12.75”. The length from the mounting/pivot point to the outer end of the blade assembly, near the A pillar, is 13.25”. It is the same for both assemblies and they are side specific, hence the requirement for 2 part numbers.

If the assemblies were to be installed on the incorrect sides, the inner end, which would become the upper end while in use, would extend .5” beyond correctly installed blades. Aftermarket assemblies that have a centered mounting/pivot point would extend .25” beyond the OEM assemblies.
