Clarity extended warranty

After thinking about all the new tech inside the Clarity, and reading here that even seemingly-trivial parts like the water pump are amazingly expensive, I decided to get the D80. Got email quotes from Hyannis Honda, College Hills Honda, and Curry Honda. Sean Rausch at Hyannis Honda had the low price at $1304. I talked with him briefly over the phone to seal the deal, but we could have done it all over email. No muss no fuss, and a 5-minute phone call. Sean was unaware of this forum and that his name had been mentioned here by more than a few people.

$1304 translates to roughly $260/year for each of the additional 5 years. I may never use the insurance I just bought, but I'll sleep easy at night...

Yes, this is exactly what I got (with Sean at Hyannis via email only) and for the same reason. I am not a car insurance buyer typically, but thought that it may be worth it for this car given the potential for expensive repairs. And, it just helps me sleep better. Paying more for the peace of mind than any real expected repairs.

Hmmm, those were right from the link you provided. They are three digits with G48 being 4 years 80,000 miles no deductible and different iterations up to G62 being 6 years 120,000 miles no deductible. The Fs are the same but with $100 deductible.

Could be something to do with the fact that we already have over 8,000 miles on the vehicle.

I believe the lowest rates extend up to 6,000 miles on the odo. When I read that the price of the infotainment head unit was double the price of an extended warranty, I jumped quickly for an extended warranty (even though I never used the one on my gen-1 Insight even once).

Sorry if this has been asked and answered, but are all Honda Care VSC the same in what they cover, and just differs in length of years and/or total mileage covered?

I only ask because of the websites offers 'sample contract' and I really don't want to read it lol unless I'm signing already
