The Chinese have been building super temperature coal plants getting more kWh per unit of coal … a good thing. Our lower temperature coal plants need to be replaced as they are relatively inefficient.
Actually I am interested in molten salt, reactors at high temperatures that are both more efficient than todays water reactors and safer. They scale allowing distributed plants, factory mass produced.
