It does stick out quite a bit, so maybe good idea to leave it on an angle while charging in a public location to avoid this from happening:

I mentioned to my dealer at the time of pickup that this could be a frequent repair item.

Today I was st the office - there are 2 spaces, one of which seems perpetually occupied by a Bolt. If I had a choice, I would pick the same spot and back in just so the port is closer.

The Bolt looked tiny next to the ID4. I will say that much.

Does the charging door's trim/finish panel REALLY detach as easily as shown at 4:05 in the video?

If so, removing it - PLUS using the suggested elastic bands - might be a good risk-mitigation strategy when charging in a "High Hazard" area.
