Center screen won't turn on

Got in, started the car, carplay connected, pulled away... before I got 1 block down the road the center screen went dead.
It's still drivable, but there's no music, maps, reversing camera, etc.

Anyone seen this before? Know how to force a restart?
Did you need service? What kind of service (software, hardware, etc.)?
 
Perhaps try pushing and holding the volume/mute knob for 40-60 seconds, which will cause a reboot.
 
I had tried the 'hold the button' method initially, but it didn't work.

After I got back home and the car sat for a while, then it booted up just fine. Glad it came back, but I'm not looking forward to having to park and wait forever if it happens again – really wish there was some way to force a hard reboot manually. I'll be sure to mention it whenever I go in for service, but that's probably not until my 2-year appointment in January/February.
