Can separate key fobs control settings other than seat position?

I believe you've completed the comprehensive list of the 3 things that operate differently per key fob. The walk-away lock is a special case because only one fob (or the other fob) can be set to do this. The customized seat-position and climate-control settings work for both fobs.
Insightman, my other fob will also activate walk-away locking. My husband used his today and it locked, no problem. We had never tried before today.

Impossible! (he said based only on the manual and his own experience)

Page 140 in the Owners Manual says:
If you set the auto lock function to ON using the
audio/information screen, only the remote
transmitter that was used to unlock the driver’s door
prior to the setting change can activate auto lock.

Are your fobs numbered "1" and "2"? If you have a Touring model, does the fob-connected seat-position work for both fobs?

I have a touring (US) and we had not set my husband's seat position yet. Our fobs are marked 1 and 2. So we just tried his fob again, making sure my fob was far away and it auto-locked. Then we set his seat position and tried it again and it auto-locked. Then I tried mine again and the seat moved back and it auto-locked.

I set the auto-lock months ago so I don't remember how I did it, but maybe I had both fobs with me and both were set?

You're in the Clarity Twilight Zone (queue the eerie music). I have no explanation why Honda decided only one fob should be able to do the walk away auto lock or why both fobs for your Clarity can do it. It's not a bad thing, I guess.

You might want to try turning the auto-lock off and having both fobs with you when you turn it back on. Is one fob "dominant" for the seat positions if you have both fobs with you?
