Agreed, in Cali we got $750 + $2k in addition to the $7500 tax credit, and so I should be ashamed that I don't want to pay the $.50 fee to ride the HOV lane to and from work. It's these little petty victories that keep me going. And also I'm a ridiculously cheap b@stard, and wouldn't enjoy the SE any less WITHOUT all those benefits. Honestly. Love this little bugger.

Before MINI announced the price, I was prepared to pay $40K (-$7,500) for my SE. I was astounded when it was introduced as the least expensive EV sold in the US. This car would be a real bargain even if it was as dull to drive as a Nissan Leaf, but it's sure a lot more fun to drive than a Nissan Leaf.
