Honestly, there aren’t that many changes to be made on the SE, so once familiar with the workings of the app, it’s fairly straightforward to run through the list of possible changes, and recall which ones have been implemented in the past. The demo version of the app does not look much like the actual version does when one’s phone is connected to the car.

There has been at least one forum member who needed help from Mr. Bimmercode to bring his SE back from problems the member couldn't undo. Could a log detailing the steps taken to get into that predicament have eliminated the need for assistance from Mr. Bimmercode?

I’m really curious how this feature is programmed from the factory. This morning I noticed the recirculate would stay on for a very short time, it seemed like less than a minute. The outside temperature was very close to the desired inside temperature. This afternoon it stayed on significantly longer. The outside temperature was over 20 degrees F higher than the desired inside temp and the car has been in the sun all day. I did not have the AC set to max in either case as that does lock the recirculate on.

That's what I've been using until I have a chance (aka:motivation) to pull out the OBD and dig in, putting it on MAX, but on the first air speed light.

My understanding is that the automatic recirculation on/off was monitored by sensors of various factors like temperature and air quality. So if you activate recirculation, it would deactivate automatically based on the condition/environment that you are in. Hence, it stays activated in different length of time.

Some cars (e.g. land Rover) let you override it but as far as I know the mini doesn't.
