A buddy of mine just snapped this at our local Costco.

Are they still selling these here!!?? We had a Vinfast dealer here, but closed down last year. Never did see any on the streets. Heard they had a lot of issues, and poor to no support.

Google says:

• Global Expansion: Despite early struggles and reports of dealer closures and low inventory in some U.S. markets in late 2025, VinFast continues to push its international presence, with a focus on manufacturing in Vietnam and building a factory in North Carolina.

VinFast is constructing a $4 billion electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing plant in Chatham County, North Carolina, on a 1,977-acre site at Triangle Innovation Point. The project, which is the first automotive plant in North Carolina, aims to create 7,500 jobs, producing electric SUVs and batteries, though production has been delayed from 2024 to 2028

So, it looks like they are still up and coming. 2028 ground breaking for the NC plant should spur some more interest for the 2030-ish models.

According to their website, there are a handful of dealers mostly on the coastline cities, nothing in CA.

Drove by the Vinfast dealer site today, and looks like it is alive again. Lot is full of cars. But still have not seen any on the streets.

Am going to the Vancouver Auto Show on the 25th, so will see if they are there. Also wondering if any Chinese cars will be there, too.
