Button fell out

A coworker is from a smaller town outside AA, and he most definitely has an eastern-Midwestern accent.

My friend being New Yorker is still telling me I have an accent when I’m texting him

The cat probably pulled the button out! Bad kitty!

I'm trying to imagine what the button with "three small legs/pegs" looks like (I'm afraid to yank out the button in my SE to see it). I wonder how the button is installed at the factory?

Are the legs flexible enough that you could you wrap a thread around the legs to collapse them enough to get the button into the hole? Then you could pull the thread out to allow the legs to expand and hold the button in place.

Completely wrong .If your finger nails 3-4 mm you should have no problem to removed that plug just for challenge I did in 5 seconds to see what is a problem but I know how they work .You pull bigger portion half way 10 mm out and gently wiggle left right to fully remove whole fastener without separate 2 bc those 3 prongs are very soft and flexible just don’t force hard.To reassemble put small part with prolongs first deep and second part push into a whole . Done . Bc I’m changing oil on my Subaru my self in order to remove a panel to access plug there are 4 fasteners exactly working the same way and after 4 years they function very well .I hope this help .A pictures of my fastener I remove one.

Those of us who have chosen to cohabit with cats (and it may not necessarily be OUR choice) have learned to ignore cat hair EVERYWHERE.

My Black long hair cat 15 lbs if I let him into a car he can destroy my SE and as you said sometimes is not our choice my son damp a cat on me now he lives with me for 3 years and I LOVE a monster.He is not in a cage this is his retreat in sun room 7’ above a ground with 25 ‘ of walkway and he is not a cat I call him a dog bc he follows me all the time .

I was born and spent 45 years in NYC area. I dont have an accent since NYC is the center of the universe. y'all have accents and talk funny. And yes Rexio, I can see your accent come through in your typing! But that is because I have a very sensitive ear for accents.
