For me there are way too many things wrong with the Dem Ticket.. I find lots of things wrong with the Trump ticket too but the main difference for me is the 2nd amendment.. If it wasn't for that, I would vote Libertarian.. As I said before, I'm a registered Libertarian and dislike both parties..

Here are my issues with the 2 parties:

Democrats
1) want to neuter the 2nd amendment
2) want more redistribution of wealth
3) want more taxes on people like me with high income and high capital gains
4) want open borders and taxpayers have to pay for the consequences of illegal immigration.. While as a Libertarian, I support open borders, this does not mean that I support open borders at the expense of taxpayers.. Let's eliminate welfare/medicaid/food stamps/section 8 housing first and then we can think about opening the border.. I have zero issues with people coming here regardless of their faith, color or heritage but NOT AT TAXPAYERS EXPENSE.
5) Democrats are masters of restricting free speech/cancel culture. Try to speak as a non Liberal at a College campus.. They don't even allow you to speak in many cases..
6) Democrats created and support the war on drugs. Biden is one of the main architects of it and Kamala prosecuted more non violent pot crimes than any other AG and now, suddenly she has a change of heart.. Right...
7) Democrats have enslaved blacks and minorities with welfare
8) Democrats are corporatist and are owned by THEIR special interest groups
9) Democrats want reparations and "freebies" which are not free.... but very expensive for those who actually pay taxes.. I came from Austria.. My Net income there was 1/3 of what I make here all at twice the cost of living... That's why I left Austria. Free Healthcare and Free college is all but free.. Austria has 50% income tax for income over 50000 euros ($55k or so)

Republicans
1) Don't think that a woman has the right to choose what happens with what's entirely inside her body of which she is the main creator
2) Are not very supportive of LGBTQ
3) many Republicans are religious bigots who want bible law. Roy Moore was the worst of the worst.. but there are still people like Ted Cruz and VP Pence..
4) Republicans also don't support drug legalization despite the majority of Americans want pot legalized. (I'm not a pot smoker or use any other drugs, but I support legalization. Government should not tell you what you can or can't put into your body - period)
5) Republicans are moral authoritarian and want to legislate people's sex lives
6) Republicans are NOT fiscal conservative.. They spend just like Democrats. F&&^ing hypocrites
7) Republicans claim to be CAPITALIST but in reality they are just as CORPORATIST as the Democrats for THEIR special interest groups..
8) Many Republicans are hypocritical.. They preach one thing for everyone else and don't apply the same to their life.. Look at Trump. Panders to the Evangelicals and cheats on all his wives. What a fantastic Christian!.
9) Spending WAY too much on the military. We need the strongest military in the world but we don't need to spend more than the rest of the world combined.

That said, I have no sympathy for either party nor either candidate.. The only reason I will vote for Trump as he is the lesser evil on our most important right.. The 2nd amendment.. NO AWB. NO MAGAZINE SIZE LIMITS. NO GUN REGISTRATION - PERIOD - NO COPROMISES!
 
I agree with most points, but once a baby is made, there is now literally another life and terminating that life is literally murder. So, no.ot isn't really a womens right to choose, but there are situations where it could be justifiable. And if she doesn't want the baby, there are MANY people out there unable to have children that would adopt in a heartbeat, especially if our adoption laws were changed to make it easier.

Abortion is a constitutional issue. I'm an "originalist" and abortion rights are constitutional.
The reason is very simple. Our founders did NOT intend to give the unborn constitutional rights. Abortion to quickening (15 - 20 weeks) WAS 100% legal while our founders were alive. Also, one of the first supreme court justices said this: (William Blackstone)
"Life... begins in contemplation of law as soon as an infant is able to stir in the mother's womb."
At the time, this meant when the unborn first kicks in the womb so that it can be felt from the outside. This means that CLEARLY, the founders did NOT intent to give the unborn constitutional rights AT LEAST to that point.
Now, as we can clearly establish that during at least the first trimester, give or take a couple of weeks, the unborn has not constitutional rights..
Of course, lawmakers can give the unborn protections via federal or state law.. However, any protections may not infringe upon any citizen's constitutional rights.. However, women do have the constitutional right (4th amendment) to be secure in their person, free from government intrusion into their bodies. That means that it's none of government's business what is in her body and therefore can't regulate it, unless of course, what's in her body would have constitutional rights as rights can't trump each other.. As the unborn does NOT have constitutional rights at least to 15 weeks, the mothers right to be secure in her person trumps any protections given to the unborn via state or federal law. Fetal Homicide laws exclude the mother as if she was included, the law would be unconstitutional as the unborn resides in her privacy.. Of course, the unborn can legally be protected from persons other than the mother but not from the mother due to her 4th amendment rights.. I do think that as per Roe, after those approx. 15 to 20 weeks, there can be restrictions but anyways, 92% of all abortions happen during the FIRST trimester..

BTW, I'm PRO LIFE for MY LIFE but pro choice as a matter of policy.. I don't have a right to put my nose into other peoples private lives..
 
Sorry, I disagree, it is murder, pure and simple. So we will have to agree to disagree on that point, but most.other points are right on.

I find abortions morally wrong but I also find it morally wrong to cheat on your wife but nobody should be arrested for either..
My point is entirely based on the CONSTITUTION and our founders.. I'm PRO LIFE for my life but it's none of my business to put my nose into other women's lives that are not related to me..
 
If Republicans want to make abortion illegal, they should amend the 14th amendment to replace the word "born" with "conceived" and this would outlaw abortions..... just like the Democrats should amend or repeal the 2nd amendment if they want to register and ban guns..
 
It is up to all of us to protect the lives of those who can't defend themselves and yes, the unborn have constitutional rights too.

But no matter what, I am guessing that we can both agree the child trafficking that BOTH sides are clearly guilty of supporting MUST stop.

Because they didn't know ad much a out the process of life as we do now and they life truly does begin at conception. It is a case of learning more over time.

So, the constitution and scope auto amend with science? As an originalist, I believe that it means what it's authors meant it to mean at the time. If times change, they created a process to amend it. It doesn't auto amend.
 
About abortion, I remember before and after Roe v. Wade:
  • teenage girls suddenly taking an 'European vacation' in the middle of the school year
  • girls and women showing up to die in emergency rooms from septic infections
  • homes for 'unwed mothers'
  • full orphanages
The worst are "Hand Maids Tale" treatment of teenage girls and women. So we'll just have to agree to disagree.

I fully agree.. Making abortion illegal would not reduce abortions.. The countries with the highest abortion rate per capita are VERY religous countries with ILLEGAL abortions.. Look at Philippines and Brazil.. They both have illegal abortions, yet higher abortion rate per capita than the USA.
My native country Austria has one of the lowest abortion rates per capita in the industrialized world.. 1/10 of the US abortion rate per capita... How do they do it? Birth control... Austrian girls get on the pill at age 15 or 16 and stay on it for most of their life until they are ready to have kids.
However, the religious right would never get on board in allowing their daughters to get on the pill or birth control injection.. Less unwanted pregnancies = less abortions.. Austrian abortions are mostly government paid and yet, they have very few abortions.. Legality is not a factor in abortion numbers.. They will happen, legally or illegally.. There are tons of statistics to proof that.

Biden in the office is like an old cummins oil for new sportcar engine

In another week, we should be able to compare and contrast the YouTube, acceptance speeches of Biden vs Trump and Harris vs Pence. We can then do a linguistic analysis to see who was addressing what is going on.

As I said, I'm a REGISTERED Libertarian.. However, unfortunately, the Libertarian Party does not have the $$$ to have a chance. I always hope that a Libertarian Billionaire would run for President but I doubt that this will happen as they have to run their respective businesses... Meanwhile, I'm stuck voting for the lesser evil until there is a viable 3rd alternative.

Having the current Secretary of State address his party from Israel (puppetry)
Asking Russia to interfere in the last election (election fraud and worse)
Openly admittedly interfering in coming election by disrupting federal mail (sabotage of election)
Pardoning cronies to keep them from fingering him (obvious)
Sowing racial conflict and divide, inciting (tyrranous)

Even if re-installed can't last a term or continue to function. If removed will be prosecuted, pardoning power is broken. OJ'd. GOP better pivot green like there is no tommorroe.
