It was a weekday like today when our red SE went through the Panama Canal. My interwebz search said it takes something like 8-10 hours, and every hour or so I would click on the map while working.

The Heritage Leader which has our blue SE is currently moored at Manzanillo, Panama. The Canal is the only part of the journey worth tracking because you can see movement every hour or so. If you dont have much to do, and dont know if your ship will go through the Canal during a time worth tracking, and want to see a ship go through the Canal without paying for the service, it may be slightly more fun than watching paint dry to watch this ship go through the Canal. You decide.

MINI should have a streaming camera on the assembly line that lets you watch the paint dry on the car you ordered. Boasting about the event would prepare your friends for the incessant, possibly tiresome MINI praise they will be enduring after your SE arrives.

Well I slept through that one. Responsibility sucks! Glad I tracked it for the red car. Next stop Lazaro Cardenas, Mexico around the 18th.

I barely tracked my current Mini, since it was before the pandemic, it went really fast thru all of the phases. Before I knew it, the car was ready for pick up. This one seems to be dragging on forever because I was trying to get one since the 2022 model year. At least the Heritage Leader is across the Atlantic, I hope it gets to the dealer quickly after it docks. I'm currently in the process of having a new circuit added to the garage for the charger and my KW coilovers are at home waiting for the new SE.

I swore I wouldn't care about the progress, and checked that bad boy daily, cursing every apparent delay. Glad it's making it's way across the Big pond now!
