GM is spending millions of dollars promoting EVs that are months away from production or very slowly ramping up (Cadillac Lyric). Chevrolet “Everywhere” ads were all over NFL games too. Why can’t they wait? I don’t get it.

Mind share. If you can get someone to postpone buying a from competitor why not? Also how many people don’t know what’s available? People will go to their local Chevy dealer looking for that Blazer EV. Chevy tells them it’s not here yet, but look at this nice gas Blazer you can drive home today! It’s a blazer. Same thing right?

It wasn't on the Super Bowl, but how about Kevin Bacon's Hyundai Ioniq 6 ad with his begrudging daughter, Sosie? I laughed again at the end when I noticed in the background that Kevin's outside gesturing wildly--he can't stop telling people how cool his new car is.
