Battery replacements are starting

I have been trying to get a battery for like two months now. This Thursday, I have to bring the car into my local dealer not for a new battery, but to have the car inspected to see if I actually need a battery. I don't see how it's possible that I don't as I have a 2019 model that I bought in June. There are seven recalls on the car in all. The dealer, for some reason is stalling on the recalls.
The car is a lease with less than a year left on it. (June 2022). I called Hyundai America to see if I could just return the car early, and lease a new Hyundai electric vehicle. They aren't keen on that idea.

Told him they already did that in June, he said they need another photo of it. Brought it in today, the service manager took vehicle, put it on the lift and took a photo. I also questioned him about any special hardware or antifreeze required he said it is all shipped with the battery as a package. He said he should have the battery in about 2 weeks. Let's hope so, fingers crossed. And I went on my merry way.

Where are you located? I had recall 200 done in June and they told me I was not eligible for a new battery. I went back twice to challenge this and same thing. A week ago they called me and told me to bring the car in for recall 200. I explained that I already had it done but they told me to get it done again. After I brought the car in this time they told me I was eligible for a new battery and that they ordered it. Estimated delivery 2 to 3 months. Go figure.
 
I had my pre-order battery inspection appointment on Aug 7th. Called yesterday to check on the battery, and no word yet. The service manager told me on Aug 7th that "you are 100% getting a new battery". I guess I'm in no hurry, because free battery, but I would like to be done with this. Taking up too much psychic space.
 
I just got my 2019 Ultimate back with a brand new battery. I initiated a buyback in June but I must have been just slightly too late because they rejected the buyback due to a remedy being available. After a few angry phone calls to follow up, they scheduled me with a local dealership. I think the failed buyback is perhaps why I was able to get in for an appointment this early.

Not every dealership can do the replacement, which is a little irritating. They also kept my car for six weeks waiting for the battery to arrive (I got a loaner in the meantime). The actual replacement was done in about 3 hours.

Hopefully this is the end of the problems with this car!
 
I got my 2019 Kona back today with a new battery pack, fully charged up too. The dealer kept the car for 28 days. While waiting for them to wash the car I noticed 5 older packs sitting in their shipping cages. It looks like this dealer (San Diego KM) is able to get the job done. They also installed a rubberized protective shield on the 110v charge cable that came with car and I think they tightened the screws on the back hatch latch since it seemed to close properly with little effort. Hopefully my days of having the utility battery drain on me are over.
