Battery charge loss while parked for long period

I have seen a few questions about this on here and just wanted to say that 15 days ago I parked our Mini SE with the battery at 62%.

We left it disconnected from the charger.

We then went on vacation for 2 weeks and returned today to find it still had 62% charge.

So loss of charge over time while parked doesn’t seem to be much of an issue?
 
Vampire drain isn't much of an issue with EVs or PHEVs. Between our Volt, e-Niro and SE, we haven't noticed any vampire drain while parked at the airport. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume this only became a topic with Teslas, specifically with many Tesla background apps running while parked.

With that said, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving a vehicle unplugged for over a month.

That's true. I remember Bjørn Nyland was testing the Model 3 LFP vampire drain for 14 days and it was 95.1% -> 89.7%.
 
Teslas are notorious for this but they have gotten much better. In the early days of the Model S, they would try to keep the battery warm on battery power. Leave it unplugged in Canadian winter for a month and you could brick your very expensive battery. That problem has since been fixed.

Early Leafs also had an issue, but it was with the 12V battery. All the telematics ran off the 12V system, but it wouldn’t be topped off if left parked. Eventually the 12V battery would die, causing all sorts of weird problems. Again, Nissan learned and long since fixed the issue.

Bottom line, early EVs had teething issues. Most have been resolved but the reputations stick around.
