Has anyone noticed that sometimes after closing door multiple beeps occur and door doesn't lock. You have to go back and reclose the door to get the single beep that locks it?
 
Yes, mine does that. I was reading the owner's manual and it says you get that error beep if you are too close to the window and the car can't verify that the key is outside the cabin. You also get it if the key is too far away from the car during the arming period. I have been trying to notice if I am doing something differently when I get the error beep, but so far have not figured it out.
 
The 3 short beeps is an indication that the door didn't lock. If you have the 'walkaway lock door' feature on, then it means thecar can't sense the key when the last door/trunk was closed. If you don't have that option turn on then it means u didn't press the black button or the lock button on the remote to lock the door.

I was testing this a bit over the weekend when I was traveling with my car. I think I noticed the issue if I don't walk directly away from the car but if I walk along the parameter of the car first (especially the rear of the car, but that might be bias from my tendency to do that when the car is parked in grid parking format)
 
Always happens when I leave the car, close the door, and then open the trunk to get something out. It's kind of irritating. I end up having to use the keyfob to ensure the doors actually lock.
 
Thanks for these replies. I have never been able to figure out what causes the multiple-beep-no-lock response. It's annoying to start walking away and then hear the multiple beep and go back to the car to manually lock it (fob is usually less accessible somewhere in a pocket).

Anyone else have three short beeps whenever they put the car in D or R and start to move? It happens on every drive now.
