artificial sound in drive at low mph

i am now used to the artificial sound on my 2020 kona ev when driving below abt 18mph. supposedly a federal requirement.
but i have never noticed such a sound on any tesla.

is that sound really a fed requirement on kona, so why not tesla?

The federal requirement didn't come into play until MY2020, and it's possible on many (most?) models to temporarily disable it. The 2020 Kona EV and possibly later models have a blank plate in the buttons by the driver's knee which is where the disable button used to be... and IIRC the wiring for it is still there.
