Apr 2021 Software Update removes widgets, WTF?

Question on the radio (retro) interface. Is that the only option!? Or is their a way to show the original style. It looks absolutely terrible.

No, retro interface is all she's got. No way to customize. It is such a waste. At least the Media interface has a decent area to show track information, such as artist, song, album art, etc. Radio just has huge vacuum tubes. Still hate it!

There's been several updates with a few enhancements since then.

Now I have to switch to another screen like radio or media and swipe left to get a small widget that shows by battery condition.

I am not sure what you mean about battery condition. If you mean SOC, the physical EV button on the console takes me straight there. I have always used that
