Just got the email that effective almost immediately, they are closing down including the backend services that support the app. Supposedly after 10/11 the chargers will still work, I assume as 'dumb' always-on chargers.

I used the TOU scheduling on the charger but I guess I will have to switch back to the Mini charge scheduling. I don't like this as much since it charges working backwards from the departure time. I just wanted it to charge once the low rate kicked in at midnight.

If you have one, I would recommend switching the settings to always on instead of scheduled while you still can, just in case. The app was down for a while today but I was finally able to access my settings.

Now I just have to figure out whether I stick with it until it dies or switch it out. But can you trust any other smart charger service to be around in future?

Knowing now what I didn't know then, I'd get a dumb Grizzl-e and wire in a "smart" relay, and use my home automation system to control it. As it is, the updated Smart is basically an app that shows charging stats and offers basic scheduling. I may still add that relay.

It sounds like this closure of service provision only applies to USA and Canada.

So, apparently this discontinuation includes their DC fast charges as well.

This Enel X abandonment eliminates my guilt for not plugging in when occupying public "EV Only" parking spaces with Level-2 Enel X EVSEs. I should note I never took the last "EV Only" parking space at the nearby mall--I've never seen fewer than 6 of those spaces unoccupied.

We have one, but honestly haven’t used it since we moved - the lvl1 granny lead works fine most of the time and money is a little tighter so we haven’t gotten the 240 line run to the garage yet.

So how does the charger change settings like max amperage once the app is done?
We have one, won't be able to access it before then.

I am selling my juicebox, and the unused factory charger that did not go with the car to Copart. Message me. I dont need it on the wall for a few years until i get my next EV.
