Anybody know the latest on Apple CarKey and MINI?

I’ve been following stories on this for a while, and I know it’s been mentioned here on this forum occasionally, but I’m wondering if any of you has heard anything recently about this feature coming to the MINI. It seems like in research I’ve done, only BMW ever gets mentioned.

BMWs have had Apple CarKey for a year now. That means it should be available in new MINI Coopers within 5 years.
