No, gun control does not "disarm victims". It removes a profit vector from an industry that thrives on violence and lobbies to increase that violence.

So, criminals will turn in their guns? Most crimes are committed by felons, ineligible to own guns.. It's not legal gun owners that are the problem.
90% of gun homicides are gang related. Those are mostly felons committing those crimes and it is already illegal for them to carry. If you look at gun owners with concealed weapons licenses... There is virtually no crime committed by people with such license.. Anyways, guns won't be taken away in this country as it would cause a civil war. We know what gun control has done.. Hitler registerd guns and then disarmed Jews and hauled the disarmed, defenseless Jews to Concentration camps. Hugo Chavez registered and then confiscated guns and now, they are killing their own people and they have no more weapons to fight back. Chavez was democratically elected as was Hitler.
Over their dead bodies would American Gun Owners give up their guns.
