if in your area and parking situation(s) you experience frequent very low temperatures, the Weathertech plastic might stiffen up more than I experience here in Texas' climate.

I spent two weeks in just-above-freezing weather in the northeast last year and didn't find any of my Weathertech mats or trunk liner to "stiffen up". I keep my granny cable and extension cord in the underfloor bin so was taking it in and out on a daily basis. I've been very positively impressed with the Weathertech product: If they become soiled a quick rinse with water and they're good as new!
