Yup exactly. You get a lot of car for the money. With time, perhaps they will refine the overall experience and product quality, but like with the older Korean cars, buyers seem very satisfied with it. In the case of the VF, leasing is definitely the way to go, rather than getting upside-down with financing and low resale value.
 
I've been driving my sisters 8 month old RWD Model 3 this week as they are on vacation. What's interesting is it uses the same % to and from work as the Mini, About 10%. Same drive, same speeds. Also since I can drive both back to back you realise how freaking nice the interior is in the Mini, actually compared to pretty much all the usual suspect EVs

I wonder how they calculated it with rollout or not. Id like with a bit of rollout. Based on my Gbox measurements 6.5s is consistent. You get about 6 good runs before it starts to derate

I'm certain that's the case, but some YouTuber (like you) might slip a few pounds into the pocket of an enthusiast mechanic (like...) and spend a minute or so correcting MINI's don't-sue-us-unless-it's-even-slower-than-this number.

Most other tests I have seen have put it in the low 6 range. Different methodologies (beyond rollout), perhaps?
 
I was kind of hoping the E would be in the low 6es And the SE into the 5s. Maybe at some point later on, JCW won't just be a "look" and will actually be a performance upgrade.
 
It's getting near the limit with FWD and a single gear direct drive transmission. I believe the BMW iX1 xDrive30 is in the 5.3 second range, that's probably where the U25 Countryman SE ALL4 will be at.
 
It still amazes me that as recently as the late 80s, most European supercars couldn't get out of their own way – the 328 GTB got to 60 in 6.1! – and the most vaunted hot hatches didn't break 9 seconds (GTI MkII), and today mundane family-haulers are in the low-4s (and even down into the mid-3s!).

My sister had been smitten with the EX30 since seeing it at the Old Port last summer, but that has gradually worn off as the launch kept getting pushed back and the base price kept creeping north. She wanted the yellow dual-motor, which at under $60k (Cdn) will supposedly hit 60 in 3.4 seconds.
