4-year service - what should I expect?

My 2022 is now alerting me that it's time for maintenance again. At the 2-year service, my dealer replaced the brake fluid.

What is required at the 4-year interval? Is it the same? Since I didn't have to pay for it last time, I don't know how much it normally costs. What have you guys paid? Is this something I can take to a local mechanic to do?

Good luck no mechanic want to touch electric cars EV they behind technology 20 years and nobody’s try to train EV mechanics/ inginears electricians they can change your tires nothing else you realy on Dealers charging you big $$$$$$ after warranty as you lucky your EV don’t need any fixing as my BMW i3 for 6 years and my Cooper SE doing quite well 3years / 3 months without real problems seeing a dealer !

i agree..my se is coming up to 4 years old i didn't even bother with brake fluid change, had the charge port fix and that's it.

So none of you replaced the brake fluid at the 2 year mark, even though it was free? I've been doing a brake fluid replacement on my other cars every 2 years because I was told the brake fluid breaks down over time. Is that really not true? Or is MINI just being overly cautious in their recommendations for the EV model?

I had mine replaced. As you said, brake fluid absorbs water over time, and replacing it was covered under warranty. So, why not?

well my brake fluid change wasn't free but apart from that i don't think in my 50 years of car ownership apart from brake repairs i have ever done a fluid change just because a manufacturer said so.

The brake fluid was changed free of charge by the dealer for our SE last year also. Our Taycan had the brake fluid changed at the 2 year mark also.

Brake fluid change is something that a local shop can do, especially if they are foreign/German specialist.
There is nothing unique to this service on our cars. It is, after all, an F56 BMW.
I paid in the ballpark of $150 ish when I did my R56 not too long ago, an independent shop. I believe
Mini had it about the same price. Here they are all about the same.
It is just me, but I go shorter than recommended intervals on most of my mx items, especially oil.
