That was the most amazing rollout of any car in history! Of course, there were no people in the flying Tesla Roadster.

Elon said deliveries--already delayed since 2017--would begin in 2028. I expect that in 2028, Elon will tell us that there will be a slight additional delay while they make the car able to achieve orbit.

Being old, I still believe "roadster" refers to a convertible. Why not call it the Tesla SpaceX?

So where does the fuel for the jump jets (or whatever they're called) come from? Seems like a pig in a poke.
The new Tesla Roadster flies on compressed air. They said the car contains the air-compressor. However, they didn't say how long it takes to store enough compressed air for one of the amazing tricks they showed off.

There were several references in the video by Musk and his engineers that this demo car used compressed nitrogen, externally charged. Compressed air at these pressures makes the 20% oxygen a problem as it chemically attacks anything that can be oxidized.

As for nitrogen charging, a dewar of liquid nitrogen would solve the problem. Use an external container with pressure relief valve and heat exchanger fins. Nitrogen has no liquid triple point at room temperatures. It is either a boiling liquid or a gas. By letting the liquid nitrogen "warm" to ordinary temperatures, you can get as much pressure as the car vessel can handle. Also, you don't have to worry about water vapor in ordinary air.

When the 'thrusters' are opened, the pressure drop chills the gas and condenses freeze water vapor. That instant ice can cause valve and other problems. One of the starship engine problems is using engine gas to sustain tank internal pressure to make it stiff. The cold liquid oxygen and methane chills that engine gas and forms both solid water and carbon dioxide ices. There are reports some of the engine stoppages were from these ices.

An 'easy' fix is to heat some oxygen and methane that helps cool high temperature parts of the engines and run pressure lines to the methane and oxygen tanks. Another plumbing problem easier to solve than keeping ices from blocking the fuel valves and compressor inlets.
