Yes this is so good, we have in Australia what's called free to Air, on TV were you can get all the live and replayed coverage that been made, great for not missing anything or watching something again

I thought the multi-venue opening ceremony was superb (although there will never be a cauldron-lighting as spectacular as the flaming arrow in Barcelona).

Attending an Olympics will never happen for me, but I was thrilled when the Winter Olympics torch-runner passed within 3 blocks of my home in 2002. I still have one of the little flags they were handing out before the torch came by.

Lake placid isn't too far from me.

They still have all the big ski jumps set up there. It's really cool to see.


Pretty disappointed in my Americans with their cell phones out instead of enjoying the moment.
 
tough crash for Vonn today. Hope she's alright. I was really excited for her to at least medal at 41 with a torn acl. That dream is gone now but at least she put it all out there and went for it.

No one likes to see injuries, particularly with our veteran sports stars. We are going thru that same thing in women's hockey with the loss of our captain... Poulin (three time gold and one silver). Hope the rest of the team can help compensate for the loss.

The Canadians sure missed Marie-Philip Poulin in yesterday's 0-5 loss.

Right now, I'm watching the craziest Olympic sport, the biathalon. Those lightweight, specialized rifles look so delicate!

I'm willing to consider other candidates for the craziest Olympic sport (eg. curling).
 
I am usually an avid Olympics fan and watcher. Not this year, for a few reasons. Too much other news, not just in the US with the kidnapping, politics, etc, but in Canada now and in my home province with that mass school shooting with 10 dead, and 25+ injured. And we just had the Super Bowl, and all the controversy about the half time show. Then yesterday saw the US athletes get political, very disappointing. That was maybe the final straw for me.

So I am just not very enthused about the Olympics this year. Maybe it will change in the next few days. But for now, they lost me.
 
I hear ya. I watched about an hour of it last night and was just... bored.
perhaps it was the figure skating (yawn fest for me) and the speed skating which seems just about as boring as track running, i turned it off and watched a B- movie on netflix.

I do want to watch the snowboard halfpipe though.

There's a ton going on.
The kidnapping is just so absurd. hearing the facts that come in, it's like the news made it up half the time. 4000 tips to the tip line. what is wrong with people?

The media is always trying to sway our opinions.

Actors/musicians/people with some pull should stick to what they do and stop trying to divide people even more.

The whole "shinedown" pulling out of the kid rock concert tour has gotten out of hand.
Why can't we just listen to music?

Everyone keeps shouting for Unity and Peace but all their actions keep creating more divide.
