2022 UK Kona centre screen "dead"

Parked for several hours on a particularly hot day for the UK, and the screen was dead when I fired up the car.
Shone a torch on the screen but there was no un-backlit display to be seen.
Managed to navigate home using voice commands.
Next day the screen worked.
One-off overheating, or imminent total failure ?

No clue.

Another area of ignorance in my life is UK car warranties. But, if your car is still covered for this sort of thing, I'd suggest reporting the issue to a dealer. At the very least you would have evidence that the problem existed in April of 2026.

I will say that my brain first pictured you holding a US torch near your screen as opposed to a UK torch, and was convinced that the downfall of civilization is more imminent than I had anticipated.
