There is a setting to flash lights when locking.
Yes, but I was accustomed to an audible sound like a very short horn tap. Helpful in parking lots to find the right direction, or to check while walking away if doors were locked. Neither I need now with the app, but it was harder with my older Mini if Google didn't pin my car location automatically correctly.

I am still working on designing my own slim key housing (with the chrome trim removed and an integrated pocket clip!) but for now ended up with this shapeways one in the premium black plastic.

It's not really any easier to fit in my pocket but I like the look better!

That's who I ordered from about 3-4 years ago. Though I got the cheaper $12 ones - which at the time cost $8 each. Held up great through both cars!

I listen for the sound of the mechanic locks. It’s subtle, and the car will only lock itself one time. So far, so good though.

This is my third video in my 2022 series. Perhaps some of you can give it a watch and fact check me! I am glad I went through the process of reviewing the fob, as it taught me a thing or three...

This is exceptionally well-structured and designed video. You must do this in a professional capacity as well. Top notch job Mate!

Yes, very subtle. Which is why I really missed it on my F55. Not helpful in parking lots. Now with the app, it doesn't matter.

Thanks! And, no. I'm a software tester by trade. The car videos are just for fun.

Equipment used:
  • Camera: iPhone 12 (not Pro, but the camera is great)
  • Camera: Fujifilm x-t4
  • Voiceovers (in my closet with a blanket over my head): Tascam DR-07X
  • Video editing: iMovie on an iPad Pro 2018

Maybe I missed it, but how many key fobs are included? And if I needed more than are included, is that something that can be ordered before it arrives to the dealer or do they need the car physically there to pair the key?

You get two with the car. You could probably order more, but they are hundreds of dollars each.

My 2022 signature does not have the acoustic option in the menu.
I also do not have the acoustic option in the menu on my 202. I suspect you need the car alarm package installed for the acoustic option, which wasn't even available on 2021 SEs (early ones anyway). Do you have the alarm, @GvilleGuy?
