2022 Mini SE backing up questions

Hey friends! We got our Mini Cooper a few months ago and it is aaaaaamazing!!!!
The only weird thing is when you reverse the beautiful camera doesn’t have any lines to warn you, all you have is the camera. Is that an update I’m missing and should take it to the dealer? It is the basic model mini SE.

As shown in this pic I just took, you need to hit the circled option on the reversing camera screen to enable the lines.
When enabled, it will have a tick like in the pic.

It's the bottom icon, as you can see in your pic, it's not ticked, touch that bottom icon to toggle lines.

See how that bottom icon matches the one I circled in red.

Thank you. Unfortunately it isn’t “tick able”. Neither is contrast or brightness. I touch it it makes a noise but doesn’t turn it on. I think I’ll have to go to the dealer (but unfortunately I’m not sure if the dealer is very versed in SE’s).

There was someone else on here that had that same problem, where they couldn't select that option. I think they took it to the dealer, but I don't remember if it ever got fixed.

Here is the other thread about it. The answer back from the dealer was that it's no longer an option on the Sig trim level.

Well, that's pretty conclusive, if it's an Sig trim, then it doesn't have them. Seems kinda mean on BMW/MINI's behalf.

That's BS to lock camera guide lines to trim selection. Next up, Mini will probably charge a subscription for the heated seats like BMW has started doing.

Ok thanks all. Not a deal breaker but safer with the lines for sure. That probably explains why the dealer never got back to my inquiry. It would have been easier if they were honest about it. The car is fantastic I will just never back up [emoji38]

You've piqued my curiosity. I had to go out and look for myself. And, yes, my 22 Sig+ has both the lines and the graphic that tells me that I'm getting close, close, closer to whatever is behind me.
