Did the price drop on the 2019 Honda Clarity base vs 2018? I was looking at 2018 a few months ago and the best I could do was 32.5. One of the no haggle dealerships just got the 2019 in and they're listing it for $27k. Is there some sort of incentive on them right now or is due to the 35k Tesla?

MSRP didn't drop, but the price in some markets may have.

What state are you in? There have been incentives in some states (Consortium) but some dealers were not dealing because there was demand. It may have softened a bit since people wanted to lock in the $7,500 so had to buy before the new year to take it off on their taxes right away.

Hmmm..... more than 20% off MSRP? What’s up with that? If that’s a valid price with no strings, it pretty much wipes out the value of used Clarities.

That’s is a crazy good price. I thought we were doing well in New England with $5,700 off sticker. I guess when Honda spends $0 on advertising they can discount these cars more!

Some dealers advertise low prices, but you have to finance at standard rate (5-6 percent APR). Not sure about this one though.

I’m starting to feel very stupid for buying this experiment. KBB showing trade in value for my 2018 Touring at $26,000 right now. Might be time for a quick conversation with the dealer.

They’re are pretty straightforward with their pricing. Typically, they aren’t the lowest but this seems to be the exception. Every other dealer is asking for 32 for the base. Glad I waited a month to purchase.

Great price. Did you get it ?

That means it is one of the cheapest cars in the market in US. Anyway this price is not the norm and in the Bay Area about $31-32k seems to be the norm for base trim.

Just bought a base Clarity yesterday in Oakland, CA area. The MSRP is still the same (~$34K) but there is a 6K Honda incentive and I got additional 2.2K through Costco program. So paid ~26K plus tax, reg, doc, etc. Tax incentives and other rebates will further reduce this - seems like a great deal. Like the car so far.

Ok, this is definitely new. Previously they had up to $3k incentive. $6k is massive and appears to be in response to Tesla. I hope this is a temporary thing otherwise it will crush resale values.

Great deal - I’m jealous.

But how much was the “doc” fee? This seems to be an industry-wide scam to do nothing other than pad their profit.
